Introducing The Ebony's

Gemville sure has changed since the last time I was here...

My name is Sid Ebony.  I'm a born and bred Gemvillian, although my family moved to Gem City shortly after I moved to college.  While there, I met my wife Nyxie and we've had three girls; Spyder Web, Aggie & Lake Syd (although we call her Syd for short!).  I wanted to move back to the house I had grown up in, only like I said - things have changed.

All the old family houses that I knew had gone.  In their place were luxury, and not so luxurious apartments.  The Stone family really seemed to have transformed this place, but when I asked around, no one seemed to know what had become of them.

We moved into an apartment in the Sodium Street block.  Although our apartment had three floors, Spyder and Aggie had to share a room;

And we shared our room not only with Syd;

But with our spell-making equipment too.

Which Spyder seems to use more than any of us:

Although, Nyxie has been known to cast Clean spells on herself when she's late for work!

The patio deck came with a slide, which keeps the kids occupied;

And now the kids are getting older, Nyxie feels it's about time to talk to them about witchcraft and our beliefs;

As you can see, their ideas about magic vary...
Soon after Syd grew up into a child, Aggie's birthday began approaching and the subject of what to get her became the number one topic.

"Girls, thank your Dad for the nice breakfast he cooked us."

"It's not that special, Nyxie.  It's only omelettes."
"Still, it's not that often you have time to cook in the mornings.
"Now girls, Spyder will be looking after you, while your Dad and I go into town for something."
"Is it about my birthday present?" asked Aggie.
"You'll have to wait and see."  Nyxie smiled at her.
"Is it a goldfish?!" she asked excitedly.

"No, we are not buying you a goldfish." I said sternly.  Goldfish?!  Where does she get these things from?  I eyed Spyder suspiciously.

Spyder:

I don't know why he was giving me the evil glances.  I'd already sorted out Aggie's present.  I'd been online, looking for the perfect gift:

But it turned out, the best gift was already in the house.  Using the cauldron, I made her up her first batch of Mystic Dust to get her on her way to becoming a fully fledged witch:

She couldn't be more happy, as I know she's been asking Mom a lot about witchcraft and when she can join us.

Our youngest sister, Syd however; had her own ideas about what to get Aggie.

I think she's forgotten that Aggie is becoming a teen!  Once I'd explained this to her, she was content to use her baking skills to make her some cupcakes.

Did I say baking skills?!  I hope Aggie likes them well done!

I kept my sisters busy while Mom and Dad were out:

I can only hope they haven't bought anything too extravagant.  We all know what happened to the Royals.

"Welcome to you new home, Girls!" My Dad beamed.

My parents are idiots...

Welcome Back to Gemville!

We've been expecting you...

Sorry, that sounds creepy.  Seriously though, it's good to be back and writing again.  I can't speak for my Mom, but I've definitely needed a writing outlet of late.  I'm just setting everything up at the moment, but the site should hopefully be ready to go with its first entry by the end of the day!

See you soon!
